Find out at February’s Money Talks Forum where we are teaming up with Digital Wealth Insights.

How has the financial advice landscape changed over the last few years? More importantly, what will the landscape look like in five years’ time? Will it be a case of same-old, same-old, business as usual? Or are we on the cusp of the biggest shake-up the FS industry has even seen, thanks to the growth of digital advice?

These are the questions we’ll be putting to our panel of experts at our next Money Talks Forum debate. It’s on February 7th at WeWork Moorgate, and we’re hoping that as many of our industry friends as possible will be able to join us to throw their own opinions into the mix.

Book your ticket for free here.

The session is being held in partnership with Digital Wealth Insights and we’re calling it “Financial Advice in a Digital World.”

Well-known financial journalist John Lappin will be in the moderator’s chair as usual, and he’ll be asking our invited panel of experts how they see the role of digital advice impacting on the traditional side of the industry in the coming months and years…

  • What do consumers really want from advice in 2017?
  • How might the balance between human and purely digital advice shift over the next decade?
  • What might constitute a tipping point in one direction or the other?
  • Is digital a better medium for offering guidance rather than advice?
  • Who is best-placed to take advantage of the changing landscape – start-ups or established players?
  • Will a purely face-to-face business have any value in five years’ time?

Meet the panel

We’re delighted that four of the industry’s most outspoken commentators are already confirmed as members of the evening’s expert panel: Lisa Caplan the head of financial advice at NutmegPeter Chadborn director of Plan Money, Ben Goss the chief executive of Distribution Technology and Ian McKenna the founder of Digital Wealth Insights. We’ll be adding more panellists as we move closer to the day.

Once the experts have put their points of view forward on the 7th, we’ll be throwing the debate back to the audience and, if previous sessions are anything to go by, you won’t be backwards in coming forwards with some strongly-held opinions of your own!

Join us on 7th February at WeWork in Moorgate, London

The full address is WeWork, 1 Fore St, London EC2Y 9DT. You can find a map here. The formal part of the debate runs from 6.15pm to 7.30pm, but we hope you’ll stay to continue the debate – and catch up on some networking opportunities – in the WeWork bar afterwards.

If you’d like to come and contribute to the debate, or simply listen to what your colleagues and peers have to say, you can sign up at Eventbrite here. It’s completely free to attend but numbers are obviously limited.
