The Client Challenge

Global commercial insurance providers, Markel, had grown through acquisition and localized marketing strategies. The result was a disparate digital strategy and complex user journeys. Our challenge was to unify the company’s international web presence into a multilingual, yet coherent and customer-focused, structure.

The Approach

Working closely with Markel’s group IT and marketing teams we defined a global site structure – based on the needs of brokers in different countries – and developed an online visual language, captured in a new set of brand guidelines. Episerver content management allows Markel to dictate overall brand language with local marketing teams controlling their own regional content.
